Product Information:
The automatic air vent (or AAV) is a device for removing air from the central heating system.
It works by using a float operated valve to release excess air. As water circulates through the heating system, air accumulates inside the float chamber and a float rises to open or close a valve with on the water level.
When the float chamber is full of water the float is pushed to the top, and the valve is closed until the water level drops again.
AAVs are usually reliable, but occasionally they become stuck and need cleaning or replacing.
